Gregory McRae attended Tarrant County Junior College in
Fort Worth, Texas, University of North Texas in Denton, Texas,
and Texas A&M at Commerce, Texas in which he majored in art and
photography.
He was promoted as a motion picture lab supervisor at Southwest
Film Lab in Dallas, Texas. Later, he was employed for five
years as a reporter and chief videographer
with a CBS affiliate in the North Texas area, he met with such
dignitaries as George Bush, Jesse Jackson, and Sam Walton of
Wal-Mart fame. He owned two
businesses in North Texas, a portrait studio and then North
Texas Video Production for 11 years, where he was responsible
for clients such as Johnson & Johnson Medical, Oscar Mayer and
Texas Instruments. In his years there, Mr. McRae won several
Telly Awards for industrial and
sales videos. He has worked in other capacities as a gaffer and
technician on country music videos for Sammy Kershaw, Billy Joe
Royal and on the set of Walker, Texas Ranger and the 1984 movie,
“Tender Mercies”.
Mr.
McRae then moved to East Texas, joining
KETK-TV as a commercial producer for four years. There he
garnered an Addy Award Best of Show
for East Texas Gym. Following his employment at NBC, he
continued producing commercials for East Texas Post &
Productions before joining TISD-TV.
